What is Hematopathology?
Hematopathology is the branch of pathology which studies diseases of hematopoietic cells. A hematopathologist looks at peripheral blood smears, bone marrow aspirates and biopsies, lymph nodes, and other tissues, and uses his/her expertise to diagnose diseases such as lymphomas and leukemias. The hematopathologist uses traditional microscopy to look at the specimen, but also relies on laboratory values, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and molecular diagnostic tests to make the most accurate diagnosis. The hematopathologist works closely with the hematologist/oncologist specialty doctor who sees the patient and decides on the best treatment based upon the diagnosis.
The Exploration!
Me and Brute had been in the building several times before, but we still had not discovered what it was exactly besides some kind of lab. So we decided to check it out on our way out of another building nearby. Getting in wasnt that hard since we know the building fairly well.
We first started with the basement since it was the coolest part of the building in my opinion. Noticed there was a room I hadnt really checked out before so we went and checked it. We found out what the building was, there were blood samples sitting all over in storage, books on Hematopathology and other misc scientific toys just laying around.

We were amazed that they would just leave blood samples that could contain some sort of nasty little bacterias just sitting in an abandoned building. We got over our shock pretty quick since now that we knew what the building was, the rest of the equipment in the upper floors made sense now. We headed up to the 1st floor. It was a little more wet from snow just dripping from past water damage. There wasnt so much on the first floor that needed to be explored as there was on the 2nd floor.

On the 2nd floor there was test labs, gas connections and all sorts of necessary equipment for experimentation and effect. We snapped a couple pictures when Brute looked out a window and said turn your light off! I did, I also headed over towards him, there was a red Pickup truck parked outside the back of the building.
We assumed it was security so we started thinking of how to get out. Our original entrance would be fairly near the parked red pickup, so we decided that our only plan was to go through the front door. We headed to it, I was about to open it when me and brute noticed a piece of metal against the front door that was meant to fall if the front door was opened.
I opened it a few inches to get my hand out to grab the piece of metal, got it, got outside and put it on the grass. We headed out in the direction of the street, when we noticed a white pickup truck drive behind us now, they stopped and looked at us, we kept moving and they drove off towards where they could get out of the area. We switched directions to go towards the car. When we switched directions we noticed the driver of the red pickup truck was looking at us now with a radio in his hand, we kept calmly walking, once he was out of site, we got to the car. We were just getting in when the same guy drove past us in his red pickup truck. At this point we worried if he was security he might try and block us in where we were parked, but he drove past us not noticing me or deciding to turn around, whatever the reason, we headed the fuck out of there, to a main street. We got to the main street when a parked car we saw earlier near one of the building were checking out was tailing us, 3 Security trucks?! Jesus Mary Mother of God..
After about a mile, he pulled off back towards the building, in the process either writing down our license plate or just gave up. Either way ducking 3 Security Trucks was kind of entertaining, I wonder if they worked for Avalon?
