We decided to get our gears in action since it had been a week since we had really done anything as the weather decided to take a shit and goto -35 degree windshields and the like... Thats January Winters here in Minnesota for you. A way to sum it up would be... BOOGER FUCKING FREEZING!.... Ya, thats it.

Brute decided we should check this out as he has done it almost every year since he was 6 years old and I hadnt been there, called people up, only getting ahold of Muffyn, but that sufficed. We headed out and picked her up.

We got to the falls and no one was around since it was about 2am, no wind, just the stillness of the creek and the air. A beautiful night for exploring.

Since the previous day it had just snowed and created a dust snow effect it was not easy getting up to the cave. We all almost ended up slipping and rolling down into the creek and that would have hurt hitting that ice. However we prevailed.

We got to the ice cave finally and words cant really describe it. Half Ice Wall Half Limestone Wall. Just sitting back, listening to the drops of water, watching the steamy air from the cave meet the frigid air on the outside. The green and white illumination of the ice. This trip will always be a favorite experiance of mine. Pictures can't capture this experiance and niether can words. Experiance yourself.
