I was at work one night and squeek had stopped in. I was like what are you doing here? He replies, I'm 21 now... Oh.
So as I was walking around the bar observing people, doing what I do, Security, he motions me over and asks me what I'm doing later, I answered, "I have no idea, probably going to sleep, why whats going on?" he replies, "Theres a new Santas Dig going on", I told him I didnt know what he was talking about but I'd be down to check it out even if it was somthing I had seen before.
2:00am. Lights are up, people are finally leaving. It had been a slow night at the bar. I was eager to clock out and bike over and meet my coharts. We met up, entered through our normal entrance, did our 5 minute TAS walk, jumped down into Satans, did our 10 minute crawl with our bags to Santas, and I looked at squeek, "Lead the way.."..
We walked down the main hallway and took a left, to my surprise there was a dig tunnel in progress. I checked, it was about 5 feet in and a few feet high. I asked squeek if he knew why there was a possible dig here, I honestly thought it was some hoax. He didnt say anything, just simply handed me a note.
I laughed, "Squeek, you honestly think this is a legit note?", he replied "I dont know, but its somthing to do and it would be fun, even if it was a hoax", so I went with it, determined to atleast come out with Sand in my Hair and some awesome team photos.
As the hours went by it ended up turning into about 7am, we had dug with butter knifes and spades for almost 4 hours. We decided we had done a good job with the tunnel now extending to about 7 feet. The note said it was only a 10 foot dig, but we werent up for the last proposed amount.

So we left and went to have breakfest at McDonalds.

Santas Cave Part 3

Myth had just come back in town from Basic Training with the National Gaurd and AIT. I decided we had to go do some good old civilian exploring to welcome him back. What better than our underground stomping grounds. Nicollet Island.
I had told Myth that awhile back me and Squeek with his roomate had done some digging but it had been awhile since we had been down there. We decided to check it out and see if it had changed.
We entered in our casual way, did some TAS walking, some crawling, and then walked to the corner of Santas when I stopped and noticed a dark hole.
Me and Myth walked up to it, I crawled in to find it had been dug out. I hadnt been expecting to find it actually completely dug out or even a legit note originally.
Crawling in I noticed a small room, collapsed for about 40ft to my left from the limestone ceiling collapsing some time ago. Not much too look at. A typical Nicollet Island Cave. Good times.
